Christmas Eve Gift! Day 18

Last night turned out to be pretty frustrating. They needed our room for women in "real labor" so we moved back to our long term care room. So we packed up. Even though we just had the terbutaline shot to stop labor 24 or so  hours before hand to stop the contractions.

We moved right back into the same room we had. And settled in for the night. Bright and early this morning we got up and got moving. Christmas Eve is so fun, and today was something I had been looking forward to. TJ was going home to tie up some loose ends for Christmas and to pick up Aidyn Kate and Logan for our family day here at the hospital. I stayed in bed all day while he was gone trying not to have a contraction.

After they arrived, we had a fun day complete with pizza, presents, hanging out, and reading the Christmas Story. Just a day a really, really needed to keep me going.

Although today wasn't your typical Christmas... it was a fun, spontaneous Christmas that I doubt any of us will ever forget. It really is true that nothing much matters in life except for being with people you love and who really love you in return. I have been so fortunate in my life to have had many holidays surrounded by the love of my parents, Uncle, and grandmother. I have the most fun memories that  sitting here thinking of them now bring stinging tears to the corners of my eyes. Music, tons of food, laughter, present hunting, laughter, and most of all joy. I had lost the joy of Christmas for a while in life. You know sometimes life can just get so heavy. But I have been so generously blessed the past several years to experience the magic, joy, and love of Christmas all over again. I can't wait to see what the future holds for us. I know one thing, it definitely won't be boring. Our hands will be very full but our hearts will be so much more so! We are lucky to know what Christmas is truly about... can not wait to teach our Noah and Brodie also.
