Day 356 and counting.

Well, last week went pretty well. I stayed on task to accomplish my Mommy Resolution. Never ate out and brought that sack lunch religiously. I managed to keep my priorities in focus. Oh but then-then came the weekend:( Birthday party gift was an unexpected expense. Then next came a night of grilling with friends that required a few extra... well ummm extras. Next up was a final farewell to my dear friend Alison at the local Tex-Mex place. So the weekend was basically a failure. Then comes today- I am missing several key supper ingredients and the kids ate sandwiches for a snack unexpectedly and I am out of bread already. Ugh. I will never get out of this hole. Help me Lord to figure this out. Unfortunately, this afternoon I have to pay an unexpected pest control bill and then some crazy medical expenses from my unplanned surgery:( Feeling quite defeated today. So as far as our yard getting done to please the neighborhood I am not seeing that happen. Say hello to seed and straw folks! We are gonna pull a do it yourself yard weekend coming up. I think I will post a sign at the road by the mailbox that we have put seed down so they can rest their minds on something else for a while. Anyway- today was "water day" at pre-school and the last official day for them before summer school begins. Guess who missed it?! The funeral for the father of my best friend- guess who missed it today?! ME! How did I ever think this was going to be the career for me?!? I have spent close to $200 bucks this past week at Publix and wonder where it went. I must say this is a first for me though. Usually our meals hold out each week on $130/week. However, I did have to pack my lunch everyday and also managed not to order pizza on Wednesday night which is usually a weekly thing. So I guess that is where the extra came in. Is that really $50 more??
Tonight is our first TBall practice with Aidyn. I can't wait. We are prepared with all our gear and team spirit. Supper menu is set and our night will be busy. Can't wait! But did I mention that my gas tank is on E?!? #feelingdefeated

And all the days in between...

So after all our scurrying to stop preterm labor. The days that followed turned into a slow and steady drag. Laying in bed all day sounds pretty awesome and luxurious until it turns into 10 days or so:) So much time. For me the toughest part is that you just don't know how long it will be. Are we getting closer? Half way maybe? Each Dr., each Nurse, each resident, each sonographer has a different opinion. Has a new tidbit that is exciting, or overwhelming, or scary even. Then you have all this time to lay and over think (which as many of you know is actually my biggest gifting, lol) Shortly after my Mag drip stopped- four days into our stay. I was allowed to eat. Sit up a bit. I was allowed to actually walk to the bathroom:) We also had a bit of  a scare with our Brodie. Brodie had an usual finding on his morning ultrasound. Each boy has a daily ultrasound every morning, bright and early, at about 7:30-7:45. On that particular morning I noticed something that looked a bit differen...

Becoming a Mommy all over again:)

So, I am not sure why the blog on here that says it is the last one I did popped up and is dated from 2016. Maybe it is a total coincidence. Maybe it's some sort of weird computer glitch. Maybe, just maybe, it is because tonight as I sit here I needed to revisit that night. It was a tough night. A night where I was up tending to sick babies alone. It was an isolating time in my life. It was a scary time in my life. But, somehow in the overwhelming chaos of that life that used to be mine. I had grasped on to how truly blessed I was. I was blessed in my mess... just to be a mommy. I think I needed that tonight. You know. My life doesn't even resemble that life anymore. I don't revisit it often. My time spent as a Mommy in that life seems like something that happened to a person I don't even know. Tonight I read through some of these blogs for a dose of perspective.
