OH MY! Logan:)

Well to say that Logan has "come out of his shell" is an understatement. In the past couple of days alone he has gotten himself into some predicaments. I wanted to officially post some of these mishaps and some of his accomplishments so I will never forget them. I am getting worse and worse about writing in the baby books and if it is here on this blog perhaps one day I can read it and write it all down in the baby book!
So I suppose last Sat. night after work starts his adventures! I picked him up from Nana's house after work and he smelled so sweet. I don't know if everyone reading this understands what I mean when I say he had the perfect clean baby smell, but I am sure some do. I could have smelled his precious head all night long! Well... he has been on antibiotics for an ear infection and it has been giving him horrible diarrhea. So as soon as I got home I was checking his diaper again to try and control the horrible red bottom he has developed as a result of that. Well, he has quickly learned that laying back for a diaper change is not so pleasant right now. He immediately began to wail at the top of his lungs. I saw a brand new bottle of benadryl at arms length so I gave it to him to hold and distract himself as I did a quick change. He was shaking it and talking so I figured I was the smartest Mommy in the world and that I had accomplished the perfect distraction technique. Fast forward 3 more seconds as I am up to my wrists in desitin rapid relief and Logan discovers the art to opening a child proof medicine container that I can't even open myself.  As I am trying to keep his slathered white bottom off the couch, finish up securing his diaper, wipe my covered hands, Logan is pouring red benadryl all over his face, hair, and the couch. He is obviously shocked as I am yelling NO NO NO! and can't understand why Mommy is yelling at him when he has done something so amazing, lol. So an additional bath in the sink (that he DESPISED) topped off Sat night as did a later bedtime as you can imagine. So now on to the next morning- Sunday. The hardest morning of the week. After sleeping in, due to an alarm on the cell phone that didn't sound, I jumped up and gave my best effort to dress the kids and myself and get us to Sunday School on time. We didn't miss it by much and things were going pretty well. This was true until I discovered during our church service that I had abandoned the paci in Logan's crib as I hurriedly jerked things up and stuffed them into my purse to get us up and out the door. So let the loud yelling and screaming begin! He was loud- I mean LOUD. Everyone knew that we had come to church, lol. So eventually we just had to leave. We went ahead to my grandmother's home for lunch as we do every Sunday afternoon after worship. I had to be at work in only an hour so I was trying to get their clothes changed, check his diaper for the millionth time that day already, get some lunch for myself and then get to work on time. Well, of course there was more liquid poop in the diaper so I layed him down and started the before mentioned process of changing him up. Well, he jumped up mid change as I was once again covered in Desitin ( I think he knows that this is the opportune moment for this) and crawled across the room. I quickly cleaned my hands and started over to him. He was laughing and I was joking with him as I crossed the room. Then came his serious face- oh no! Then the poop all in the carpeting NO!!!! So I grab him up- get the diaper on him and sit him aside so I can clean the carpet up. By this point I was feeling a big frustrated. I cleaned the carpet and walked to the trash to dispose of the mess. I turn around and Logan is no where to be found. I ran through the hallway and found half of him- hanging out of the toilet- while his front half was having the time of his life splattering the toilet water all over himself and the floor. GREAT! So next was immediate hand sanitizer bathing of the arms and neck (I'm sure that was great for eczema right?!) and then we returned to the living room. All I could do was start laughing. I made it to work almost on time! He is such a stinker right now- literally and figurativly!!

I must apologize for any spelling errors- I had to type fast and the spell check isn't working today. I am sure that you can't imagine why I don't have a lot of time to type this, lol!!
